Hey Kathleen,

Wanted to show you what Biscuit is up to here in Las Vegas. Feel free to post this on your site if you have the ability. Let me know what you think. Is he a good size? About 35-40lbs now. LIkes to cuddle in the bed with me...most of the time. Turning out to be a good little guy.

Hi there,

Just wanted to let you know Biscuit made his first trip to the vet today. He weighed in at 12.6 lbs. The doc said he looked great, his heart rate and temp were fine and he was very well behaved! Well that is until she gave him a tetnus shot. She said she does that for all of the pigs she takes care of. He didn't like it all that much. Boy can he scream! He walks pretty good on his leash and travels pretty well in his crate. He's still a little skittish of people until they offer him a popcorn treat.

He did very well on TV on Wednesday adn you might be getting a few calls from some people who are interested in adopting one. I told them they were nothing like dogs or cats and to read up on them before they decided. My coworkers loved him. And the ones who didn't care that much for him, well I guess it tells you more about their personality or confirms your suspicions. He'll start making weekly appearances and then as he gets a little older and better trained, I'll be taking him to schools and other events. Everyone thinks he's so cute when he walks on his leash and wags that cute little tail of his.

The dogs are still a little slow to warming up to him and one is actually afraid. Only one at a time gets to be with him and that's only with close supervision from me.

He loves to curl up anywhere on me and go to sleep. I guess that's a good thing right now while he's still small. But ina hundred pounds or so, it might be a little uncomfortable. He's liking to be held more and more. But, I can see the mischeivious side of him coming out. He's learned how to push his way through the child gate when I'm there and when I'm not. I found him sleeping on some clothes I left on the bedroom floor when I cam home from work today. And while I was trying to take a nap, he discovered he could use his nose to bang the handles on a night stand in order to get my attention. But of course the only attention I gave him was to tell him to "Knock IT Off".

A viewer saw him on the air and she wants to help me create a website for him. So I hope you don't mind - if and when we put the site up - if we link to yours and the info you have on your site. I just don't want people adopting pigs if they are not the right pets for them.

Well time to give the boy a kiss goodnight and turn in myself. I'll caht with you soon. By the way, I'll send you the name of the vet so yo can add it to your vet list on your website.

Hi Kathleen,

Hope all is going well. Biscuit is getting used to his surroundings. He’s actually at work with me this morning. Right now he’s sleeping in his crate. But usually at this time of the morning, he’s sleeping at home. Everybody seems to love him. He made his tv debut a few minutes ago. I’ve been talking about him on the air for some time now and people are coming up to me in public asking about him. Over the weekend at a personal appearance a viewer actually brought Biscuit a toy. I really think the town is going to fall in love with him as much as I have.

He’s still not doing all that great with sit. I can get him to go into his crate. He loves climbing into my lap and when I ask for kisses, he’s pretty good at giving them. He’s slow to warm up to strangers, but I think as he meets more and more people, he’ll start to warm up.

Thanks for everything and if I can get the city to allow us to have another pig, I’ll be calling.

Talk to you soon. Hope you’re getting some rain.

Mark Pfister
Ps – I’ll be sending a letter for your reference page along with some pictures in a couple of weeks.
