Hi Kathleen-

I just wanted to drop a note to let you know that the piggy arrived safe and sound yesterday. He is beautiful! He was quiet and scared last night, spent the majority of the time in his carrier, but he did let us pet him (we removed the top of the carrier later in the evening). This morning he has been much more outgoing, he ate and drank and used his litter pan. He has eaten from our hands and is letting us pet him outside of his bed. He is also rooting playfully in blankets. We introduced him to one of our very outgoing and gentle cats, and that seemed to help him quite a bit. He went right up to Borris and wagged his tail and touched his side with his nose, he seemed more comfortable with us after that. We will keep you posted on his progress, hopefully he will be much more settled by the weekend. Thanks again for everything, we could not be more pleased with him!

January 2005 Hi Kathleen-

Sushi, our pig baby from Andy and Mamma's litter, is doing great! We love him so much and he has adapted wonderfully to our family. Now that we have established a routine with him, I am able to concentrate on fine tuning his diet. He eats a 14% swine diet (1 cup in the morning and 1 cup at night) and he has about a cup of veggies a day. He eats all of his food in a 10' x 10' hay lined rooting area (so he might get some hay too). Weather permitting, he gets some outside grazing time as well. He is active (we make him work for every morsel) and doesn't seem overweight. Thanks for the help and Happy New Year.
