No really it is just so NOT a dog, it is such a more fulfilling expreience to interact with this creature, at times I would swear he's actually listening to me and my fiancee's discussion? He loves to be close and cuddle, and he drops like a brick if you rub his belly. I mean a couple of rubs and BAM down he goes, laying there eyes floating, smilin' like a mad man. Yes he really smiles, you can see it in his face as plain as in a baby's. Unless there's food around, then nothing will stop him, eats a hundred miles an hour and rotates constantly around the bowl looking for a better angle( sometimes I'll put the bowl by a wall just to watch him bump into it HAHA) We own a Hobby Shop in town so when one of us has to work alone we bring the pig with us, and the truth is I've made more than enough extra money from people coming in to see the pig to pay for him and his food. But besides that I just love having him around me all day. When he's not I miss, yes miss him. He's almost soothing to have around. He's almost always happy to be doin' what he's doin' and it rubs off. He's like a living Buddha, rub his belly and find the inner peace, or something like that. Now lets talk about the breeder ("Hi Kathleen"). I'm one of those people who is completely nuts when it comes to researching something, and buying a pig was no different. So I spent over a month researching my brains out, balancing pros and cons regarding everything, and here I sit ownin' (as we say out here in Arky(originally from New york) a Kathleen Myers Pot Bellied Pig, and I'm happy as ....hmmm....a pig in s**t about my choice. I had 4 things I was looking for when I decided to get a pot bellied pig. 1st was personality because I have 2 children ( Arron & Noah ) and 3 dogs ( Stinky, Shadow, & Hobbs ) so he was going to have to get along. 2nd was health, I didn't want to get attached to a sickly pig that was inbred a generation up. 3rd he had to be handsome by pig standards, and Stuffins is an extremely good lookin pig as you can see for yourselves :) 4th and not least was the breeder themselves, Kathleen you will find is known to be the creme de la creme of breeders, her pigs have one every award you can imagine, hopefully Kathleen will put a link to her awards page right here ------->Awards <------------- did ya? HaHa. And she is by far the most informative person you will ever talk to regarding Pot Bellies, and I'm talkin real information that you can use. And she has no shame about talking to you for 45 minutes if you have a question. Out of these 4 things Kathleen turned up to be the best choice on each of them. Last but not least is what sold me on getting this pig, was when I first called Kathleen to inquire about the pig she made it very clear that it was me being interveiwed and that her pigs don't just go to anyone, she loves them too much. At that point I knew this was the person I would be getting my new pet from!!! Kathleen will tell you that I had opportunities to get the pig somewhere else, pigs of reputable quality, and I chose to wait for one of hers, and I am so glad I did! This pig is the best friend I've ever had next to my fiancee and I will forever be a Pot Bellied Pig Owner and a loyal patron of Kathleen Myers for as long as she is a breeder!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feel free to call me if you want to ask any Questions (870) 431-8658 Thank You Kathleen
