Ponderosa ReferencesHi Kathleen,My little piglet has a major attitude. He can throw a tantrum worse than any child I ever knew. This morning I put him out with the dogs while I fixed his breakfast and he proceeded to march (and I mean march with big high slamming steps) up and down the driveway--screaming loudly that he had to wait for his food. I have always fed him first when I wake up. Of course, I then had to wait for a calm attitude to feed him so I didn't reinforce this behavior (though I was laughing the whole time). I may not have gotten the #1 pig in the litter, but his personality is better than any of my other pigs. He can be loving (lies all over me when I'm watching t.v.) but he has an independent spirit that I completely love. He is a Mama's boy and takes every step I take when in the house. However, he bosses the dogs around so that they just whine to me when he demands attention FIRST. The only one that he hasn't mastered is the cat. She slaps him on a regular basis so that he is very submissive to her. It's been her house for 9 years, so I guess he has to learn to tow the line.
Thank you once again for allowing him to be part of my life. He makes me smile every single
day. |
