Ponderosa ReferencesHi Kathleen;Well we're home safely and happily. Pumet was a very good traveler. She really, really liked the bed at the motel. We brought her in the first night and played with her on the bed. Put her on the floor to do some other things, and then heard this thump and some vocal "noises". Went to see what was going on and here she was attempting to jump on the bed. Needless to say she made it! Now she thinks its the only way to sleep, with or without us. She also protested so loudly on the interstate after messing her cage that we had to pull over and clean it out before we could go any further. Today we put in disposable pads several of them and her blankie on top along with another pad on top. Whether or not it was intentional, she moved the blankie back did her "thing" 1 & 2. Vocally made us aware of it the same time it hit our noses and I turned around and removed the pad and she was happy. Right now she is asleep in her room on her bed. Vern took the top bunk mattress and put it on the floor. She's quite content with the arrangement. She found the litter box and hasn't had any accidents. The puppies have her a little uncomfortable but after the introductions they seem like they'll be compatible. We really think she's wonderful! Thank you so much! Was really glad to meet you, hope we can see you again. Your place is great and you have so many neat ideas, can't wait to see how it progresses. We received the booklet along with the pictures-- they're adorable--thank you. Will get the crate out to you Tuesday. Thanks again! We just love her. Will try not to spoil her to much. Take care. Hi! Just wanted you to know Pumet had her visit to the vet. She checked out great! Our Vet was very impressed by her feet, the color of her hooves and how straight she stood. Also her hair. I would like to say she was as well behaved as Pumba was on his visits--however--She let them know she had a good pair of lungs though. Our vet was very impressed also with your flyer and the information you gave us. He said she definetly came from a very reputable breeder and was very happy for us. He also mentioned how in our area you do not find pigs with the quality of legs, hooves and how they break down when the pigs get older around here. Was very glad we came the distance and spent a little more money. We have a happy (most of the time) healthy, adorable piglet who should not give us the heartache of a genetic problem, or too much inbreeding. Morning Kathleen; How's everything down there? Just had a snowstorm up here the other day--the roads were really bad. It blew our little car all over the highway. Pumet is adapting quite well to the weather. She likes to cuddle under the covers on her bed with who ever will join her and watch TV.-- About 9pm she decides to go to bed and vocally rounds up someone--usually me for bedtime for the night. She's eating carrots, lettuce, potatoes, celery, broccolli, banana's, raisens, and loves snickerdoodle's--she'll almost stand on her head for them. It really helps with training. We're working on walking on leash which is going pretty well. Haven't tried it outside because of the weather. She's very friendly with company. She sits up. Gives kisses, and tolerates hugs and being picked up for a snickerdoodle of course. Her little hiney is a little to round for her to master sitting up yet, but she tries hard. Has only made one mess in the house and that was when the paws gang decided to not let her out of the kitchen, when mom was in the bathroom. They all get along pretty well, but we don't let them alone at all. The paws gang really complained that Pumet has her own room and bed no less. But Tammie (the smallest) has decided to bunk with her. Pumet shares very well. Take care. Pumet sends hugs and kisses to all.
