Hi. Kathleen,

Well Mr. Piggy is about 25" long and we are not sure what his weight is right now. He was at 20lb. a couple of larrysref.gif - 21878 Bytesweeks ago.He potties outside only. But pees in the house rug after dinner (accident) even when we take him outside 3,4 times at night. We started using a 20sec. recycling audio tape that has my voice and Lucilles voice saying "Mr. Piggy go pee in your box. Good boy" It has done some good.

He sleeps in his own sleeping bag that he arranges at night himself. He moves his feed bowl to us when he wants his dinner or lunch. We feed him breakfast at 6:30 am. and Veggies and fruits 3 times during the day and Dinner he gets at 5pm. his pig food. Followed by 2 hours latter his fruit and veggies before sleeping time. He is developing his smell senses better each week to locate food treats. We add vitamin E liquid drops to his food every 2 days. He has gotten more hair all over.

No aggressive behavior. He comes when we call his name. Loves to have his tummy rubbed or scratched. He knows the word scratch, rub, come, chips, carrots, cabbage, orange, pear, no, bad, stay, food, treats, run, pee, box, outside, potty.

As far as loving back, or showing back affections, no much to speak of maybe when he matures. He moves things around in his bed area to make it more cozy for himself. When he watches me doing something he will remember and try it himself. He is still cautious about strangers but today he started licking someone's boots. He has mood swings but I started giving him cabbage as a food additive to his meals and that has calmed him down a great deal. He doesn't get as exited as when he does not eat cabbage.

His a nice pig. He does bite on occasions when he smells food on my hand. but not hard. If he does I grab his snout and push him back. That works well. He looks and acts very healthy. He has gotten rid of most of my dandelion patches, roots, I dont mind that at all.

He is self conscious about his outdoor behaviour. For instance, if he trips in one of his hole's hes dug by stepping into it whyle running he will look to see if someone is watching. If he sees that you saw what happened he will run toward you and roll and lay down as if he tripped again. He has done that several times. as we watch him from our window. If he does not see anyone he just looks around and continues where he left off. That is the extent of play with him. He barks like a dog, squacks like a chicken, wines like a horse, and says "Ma, Mamma, Dad, Larry, food, and a few other words. He learned some of these from the movie babe, and babe in the.city. .... Thats it.

Larry

Hi Kathleen,

We are all doing well. How are you.???
We just got back from 1 week expedition to Utah mountains, high elevation and piggy did very well. I had to build a wooden ramp with a hinged walk platform to have him step into the back of our Grand Cherokee. It worked well. At first he did not know what it was for and with a little push here and there the 2nd time in and out he did it on his own. He enjoyed the camping and sleeping in a tent in his own sleeping bag. Of course he slept between us. Lightning and a strong storm at 4am made him a bit....scared. But he got used to the flashing and noise after a while and settled down. He went with Lucille on a trail for about 1/2 a mile and petered out. He wanted to sleep. So Lucille took him back to the tent (large tent) and he went inside and slept for about 3 hours. The driving at first he took a pee in the back area, but as soon as he was told not to and to let us know next time that he needed to pee or potty to let us know and we would let him out. Which he did after that. We traveled 645 miles in 1.25 days. We stopped about every 100 miles to let him out and do his thing..He got plenty of juice mixed with water. and we had to stop at McDonalds for fries to tempt him to go up the steps into the jeep. He did very well on the way back. Once he got the routine down he reluctantly did what he was expected to do. (He got spoiled) a bit. Now that he is home he is back to his usual. He did learn one thing. That in the morning he now goes out side to pee, which before it was in his litter box. So camping is good for a piggy...!!! Less clean up in his litter box.

Our Best wishes.

Larry and Lucille.
