Ponderosa References

Hi Kathleen,

Jasper and Horace are doing great and growing quickly. I have a couple of questions though. One of the boys is urinating in his bed, I am not sure which one it is. I clean the litter box every day(I see both of them using it). How can I stop this bad habit. I know I have to figure out who it is first.

Also, they hate to be picked up. I have been working on this slowly and I don't let them down until they stop squealing. When I am holding one the other one gets really upset and barks at me, and then they both ignore me afterwards. I believe it is probably something I am doing wrong. I hold them like you say in the book, but they really hate it.

The good news is that they are harness trained and that went very well. We still have to give them treats when we put the harnesses on but they don't mind it once it is on. They are doing pretty well with the leash training. The girls and I took them outside today and they didn't know what to think about the snow. We didn't stay out long but I figured they needed the fresh air and it was fairly nice out.

They know how to sit, situp pretty, give kisses, do circles, and we are teaching them how to shake hands. They are also learning to come when called.

Thanks so much.

Lena
