Children's Pig Treats

Pig Cookies
Make sugar cookies or dairy-free sugar cookies. (Use a 3" round cookie cutter for the head and a 1 1/2" lid cap (juice, pop, etc.) for the nose.) The smaller cookies will take less time so watch to see if they are done. Cool the cookies.Frost the larger cookie with pink frosting. Place the smaller cookie on the bottom of the frosted cookie. Add raisins, chocolate chips, or candies for the eyes and nostrils.

Grain in a Trough
Prepare trail mix by mixing together raisins, oat cereal, nuts, cheese crackers, and popcorn. Serve in small boxes that resemble miniature troughs.

Haystacks
Melt a bag of Butterscotch chips (not the store brands they do not melt well, we used Nestles and they worked great!!) in the microwave. ( on high it takes about 1 min 30 sec. ) Add 10 oz. of Chinese Noodles and place in piles on a sheet of wax paper. That is all you do, they taste GREAT! and really look like piles of hay ( or straw actually!!)!

Pig Slop
Combine chocolate pudding with M&M's, nuts, raisins, coconut, cereal, Candy sprinkles, chopped apples and bananas! "Purple Cow" drink
I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.

For each child figure on 2 oz. of grape juice, 2 oz. of lemon-lime soda, and about 1/4 c. vanilla ice cream . Put about 1 c. of grape juice and 1 c. of ice cream in blender at a time and blend for 15 seconds or less. Fill small paper cups about half full of this mixture, then add the soda and serve. Make batches until you've got enough for everyone. Kids really liked this and copied down the recipe to take home on their own.
